“Our new building is designed to serve our customers better.” That’s Harold Wilkes inspiration for Mechanical Extreme’s latest step forward. The new location is on US 12, near the intersection of Meridian Road (US 127). It will allow Mechanical Extreme crews to reach out in all directions as well as provide customers a welcome place to visit.
Another advantage is increased space. Not everyone is aware that Mechanical Extremes fashions custom ductwork. By creating ducts that fit new custom homes and retrofit current structures, Mechanical Extremes can increase heating and cooling effectiveness, and at the same time, boost energy-saving efficiency. This is a rare specialty. Off the shelf products often fail to please and other firms call on Mechanical Extremes to design these custom creations. And for its growing list of customers, Mechanical Extremes can confidently answer the question “can you put the furnace in ‘there’?”
Action began shortly after receiving permits on October 13th. Mike McKay’s M-R Builder used satellite coordinates to map out the foundation. Last week, construction began in earnest. Shovels started digging, and concrete was poured. Then, the forms were removed and backfill was brought in for support. Over the weekend, underground plumbing was placed. This week, tubing will be installed for in-floor radiant tubing. Harold comments “heated floors will make for a cozier environment for visitors and the office team.” Mechanical Extremes strongly believes in the Carrier Infinity system, and plans to use it for this new building, just as they have for many customers.
So, when can you expect to see the finished product? Harold says they should be able to move in by March or April.
As you drive by, check out the progress at 18480 US 12.
