Cold Morning and Lack of Heat

Cold morning and lack of heat?  When this happens, Mechanical Extremes hears about it first thing.  On a visit, the techs will do their detective work, giving the system a thorough check.  It starts with the obvious and moves toward the more complicated.

Electrical power
Circuit breaker in the electrical panel may have tripped.  The switch on the furnace may have been inadvertently turned off.

Fuel
If propane, is there an adequate supply in the tank?

Filter
A dirty filter may cause the furnace to overheat and to shut down.

Defective parts
A defective blower motor, induced draft motor, control board, limit switch, gas valve or combination of any of these could be the culprit.

Blower runs but no heat
A faulty igniter may fail to light the burner. The second likely cause is a dirty flame sensor. In such case, the tech will file away the accumulation, and the furnace will once again fire up properly.

Mechanical Extremes’ five service vans are stocked full of replacement parts. Even more parts are easily accessible at the Mechanical Extremes warehouse.
