Supply chains have improved, but they aren’t perfect.  Recently Mechanical Extremes has found certain key replacement parts unavailable for furnace heat exchangers.  The heat exchanger, of course, is the heart of the furnace, so it must function properly.

Good news has come out of this, and some Mechanical Extremes customers have benefited.  Carrier is offering a trade-in allowance of up to $900 when purchasing a new unit under these circumstances, and if still under warranty.
