Telling Your Fan What to Do

Your thermostat gives you a choice–fan on, off, or auto.  What’s best?  Harold Wilkes says leave it on all the time if your furnace and/or AC has a DC variable speed motor.  If not, you can still leave the fan running for extended periods during the day.  But why not just leave it on auto?  Turns out there is a reason, and Harold explains why in this quick video.
